About Us

Having a passion for Thai Food, Michael and Pachia opened their first Thai food restaurant in 1996. The Thai Classic Restaurant, located in Eldersburg, Maryland was sold in 1998 as part of a family relocation to Green Bay, Wisconsin.

After several months of relaxation they purchased a 1908 historic building on North Broadway, and in May 1998 they opened the Bangkok Garden Restaurant, located on the corner of Dousman (Main Street) and Broadway, on the west side of the Fox river.

Pachia was born in Laos southeast Asia. She and her family relocated to Hawaii and then to Chicago in 1976. Pachia attended high school and collage in Chicago. She loves to cook, and collect Thai food recipes.

Michael was born in Portland Oregon, and attended school in Portland. He served in the Marine Corp, and was stationed with the 3rd Marines in Chu Lai South Vietnam.

They have four children, Jennifer 30, Greg 27, Justin 15 and Aaron 13.
